Michael Amey is a pastor, strategist, and builder of ecosystems — with one obsession: helping leaders move from confusion to clarity to momentum.
The room was small. The vision wasn't. Fifteen years ago, Michael Amey planted a church and started learning the hard way — what fills a room, what empties it, and what actually moves a city.
He founded and led Experience Koi Global, the apostolic hub church he now oversees while its day-to-day leadership carries the work forward. That transition wasn't retreat. It was multiplication — the shift from running one house to building leaders who run many.
The work went global — ten nations across five continents: Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, the UK, Indonesia, Jamaica, Brazil, and the USA. Years in Namibia planting churches. Building Echo Farms — sustainable agriculture with a working borehole serving real communities. Launching Echo Studios — training young storytellers in media. Ministry that touches soil, water, and screens, not just Sundays.
Out of all of it came the frameworks: Disrupt / Shift / Build as the philosophy, Pivot 90 as the operating system, and the City First System as the strategy that turns churches from invisible to unavoidable in their cities.
Today, through The Amey Group, Michael consults with pastors of plateaued churches, trains apostolic leaders, hosts The Monday Leader podcast, and builds toward a long-range vision: plant 1,000 churches and develop growth frameworks that scale across cities and continents.
He builds alongside his wife Tanya Amey — who leads Vivid, a global women's movement — and their three children. The family builds together. That's the point.
